ETHER CYLINDER REMOVAL
WARNING
Ether fuel is extremely flammable and toxic. DO NOT smoke and make sure you are in a well-venti-
lated area away from heat, open flames or sparks. Wear eye protection. Avoid contact with skin and eyes
and avoid breathing ether fumes. If fluid enters or fumes irritate the eyes, wash immediately with large
quantities of clean water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention immediately if ether is inhaled or
causes eye irritation. Failure to follow this warning may cause death or serious injury to personnel.
When servicing this vehicle, performing maintenance, or disposing of materials such as engine coolant,
transmission fluid, lubricants, battery acids or batteries, consult your unit/local hazardous waste dis-
posal center or safety office for local regulatory guidance. If further information is needed, please con-
tact The Army Environmental Hotline at 1-800-872-3845.

Loosen clamp (1) and unscrew cylinder (2) from solenoid valve (3). Dispose of cylinder in accordance with local policy
and ordinances.

Remove gasket (4) from solenoid valve (3). Discard gasket.
