Press bearing (14) into steering knuckle (9) another 5/16 in (7.9 mm) below seal counterbore.

2.
Install new seal assembly (12) on chamfered side of thrust bearing (13).
3.
Install steering knuckle (9).
4.
Install thrust bearing (13) and seal assembly (12).
5.
Using suitable jack, raise steering knuckle (9) until seal assembly (12) is flush with bottom side of axle.
6.
Using thickness gage, measure and record distance between top side of axle and steering knuckle (9).
