WINCH HYDRAULIC OIL FILTER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT (M916A3) - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
WARNING
Spilled hydraulic fluid is very slippery. Wipe up any spilled fluid immediately. Failure to do so could result
in serious injury to personnel.
1.
Fill new oil filter element (2) with 1 qt oil.
2.
Install new gasket (3) on oil filter element (2) and apply thin coat of lubricating oil to gasket.
3.
Install until top of oil filter element (2) is just touching oil filter (1).
CAUTION
To prevent damage to equipment, do not use filter wrench or strap wrench to tighten oil filter element.
4.
Tighten oil filter element (2) 3/4 turn.

5.
Check sight gage and fill hydraulic tank, if required (WP 0023 00).
