b. Check alternator and air condi-
tioning compressor mounting
for looseness. Inspect brackets
and attaching hardware for
cracks, bends, and loose mount-
ing. Replace damaged compo-
nents as needed.
c. For M915A3 Old Model, check
tension of alternator/ac com-
pressor belt and fan belt at cen-
ter of longest belt free-span by
moving belts by hand. If either
belt has 1/2 inch or more play,
adjust belt tension.
d. Check for cracked pulleys or
pulleys out of alignment.
