MEASURE injector nozzle PROJECTION (20)
below surface of cylinder head (2). Nozzle tip
P R O J E C T I O N MUST be 0.070-0.098 in.
(1.8-2.5 mm). If measurement is GREATER,
ADD washer(s). If measurement is LESS,
REMOVE washer(s).
NOTE
Follow-on maintenance:
Install cylinder head (page 3-25).
Install fuel tank lines and fittings
(TM 5-2420-224-20).
