FORKLIFT CARRIAGE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (CONT)
4.
USING SUITABLE HOIST, POSITION
CARRIAGE assembly (10) in front of vehicle.
RAISE MAST (11) until inner upright channel
5.
(12) clears carriage load bearings (2 and 5).
6.
CAREFULLY MOVE VEHICLE to position
where inner upright channel (12) can be
lowered onto carriage assembly (10).
7.
L O W E R MAST (11). REMOVE CAPS or
PLUGS. INSTALL two hydraulic HOSES (13)
over two outer rollers (14). INSTALL two
spacers (15), two access COVERS (16), two
new lock washers (17), and two capscrews
(18).
CHECK six BEARINGS (2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9)
8.
for proper shimming. Total clearance should
be no greater than 0.030 in. (0.762 mm) at
the tightest point throughout the total mast
travel.
