FRONT SPRING REPLACEMENT (CONT)
NOTE
P r o c e d u r e is the same for both
front springs.
1.
USING suitable JACK or suitable LIFTING
DEVICE, LIFT VEHICLE enough to take entire
load off front spring (1).
REMOVE lock nut (2), screw (3), cover (4),

and front SPRING (1). DISCARD lock NUT.
REMOVE two nuts (5) and BUMPER (6).
INSPECTION
Measure spring length. Allowable spring length is
11.8 in. 0.2 in. (300 mm 5 mm). If spring is not
within measurements, replace spring.
