REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (CONT)
13.
POSITION transmission JACK or equivalent
under differential of rear axle.
14.
R E M O V E screw (39), washer (40), and
BRACKET (41).
15.
REMOVE vent HOSE (42) from bellows (43).
16.
LOOSEN two SCREWS (44), REMOVE two
CLAMPS (45 and 46), and SLIDE BELLOWS
(43) back toward axle.
17.
R E M O V E four NUTS (47) and four lock
washers (48). DISCARD lock WASHERS.
18.
REMOVE six SCREWS (49) and six spring
t e n s i o n washers (50). DISCARD spring
tension WASHERS.
19.
REMOVE two HOUSINGS (51).
NOTE
To gain access to all screws,
rotate propeller shaft.
20.
REMOVE six SCREWS (52) and packing (53).
DISCARD PACKING.
CAUTION
S u p p o r t axle torque tube prior
t o removal to prevent damage
to equipment.
21.
R E M O V E rear AXLE assembly (54) and
PLACE ON suitable STANDS.
