Installation (page 2-1864) INITIAL SETUP: Tools Materials/Parts - Continued Driftpin, brass-tipped, 3/4-inch Rags, wiping (item 21, Appendix C) Hammer, ball-peen, 2-pound head Solvent, drycleaning (item 28, Appendix C) Pliers, slip-joint, multiple tongue and groove  Personnel Required Wrench, open-end, 9/16-inch (two required) Two Materials/Parts Equipment Condition Locknut, tube bolt Hydraulic earth auger attachment removed Pins, cotter, tube pin (two required) (TM 5-2420-222-10) ACTION LOCATION ITEM REMARKS REMOVAL 1. Adapter tube (1) Two cotter pins (3) a. Using multiple tongue and groove slip- and pin (2) joint pliers, straighten ends and take out. b. Get rid of. 2. Adapter tube (1) Pin (2) Using 2-pound head ball-peen hammer and and boring 3/4-inch brass-tipped driftpin, drive head (4) out. 3. Boring head (4) Adapter tube (1) Take off. with assembled parts DISASSEMBLY 4. Adapter tube (1) Bolt (6) and  a. a. Using two 9/16-inch open-end and adapter (5) locknut (7) wrenches, unscrew and take apart. b. Get rid of locknut (7). 5. Adapter (5) Adapter tube (1) Pull out. 2-1862
