Place drain pan underneath to catch elbows (1 and 2) draining fluid. b. Using 7/8-inch open-end wrench, unscrew and take off. c. Plug (page 2-137). d. Tag (page 2-137). 4.    Link (5) and Cotter pin (7) a. Using long roundnose pliers, bend ends valve (6) straight and take out. b. Get rid of. 5.    Valve (6) and Two screws (9), a. Using 9/16-inch, 3/8-inch drive deep bracket (8) lockwashers (10), socket, ratchet handle, and 9/16-inch and nuts (11) combination box and open-end wrench, unscrew and take apart. Top screw will stay in bracket. b. Get rid of lockwashers (10). 6.    Link (5) and Valve (6) with a. Take off. bracket (8) assembled parts b. Get rid of drained fluid (page 2-137). DISASSEMBLY 7.    Valve (6) Jaw control Remove (page 2-1391). (direct linear) valve tubes and fittings 8. Adapter (12) with a. Place valve (6) in machinist’s vise assembled elbow (13) with vise jaw caps. and packing (14) b. Note relative position of elbow (13) for proper placement during assembly. c. Using open-end wrench, unscrew and take off. 9. Adapter (12) Packing (14) a. Using pocket knife, take off. b. Get rid of. 10. Valve (6) Adapter (15) Using open-end wrench, unscrew and take with assembled off. packing (16) 11. Adapter (15) Packing (16) a. Using pocket knife, take off. b. Get rid of. 2-1244
