Check fluid level and add proper amount
and grade (TM 5-2420-222-10).

Start and run at high idle
(TM 5-2420-222-10).

Operate jaw loader bucket
valve-to-loader
(TM 5-2420-222-10) and check for leaks.

If leaking at any connection, tighten
rod end oil line
using 7/16-inch, two 1-inch, 1 1/16-
inch, and 1 1/4-inch open-end
wrenches.

If leaking does not stop, shut down
engine (TM 5-2420-222-10) and
replace leaking connection, packing,
or oil line as outlined in this task.

If found leaking, repeat steps 36
thru 38.

Engine
If still running, shut down
(TM 5-2420-222-10).
