Pivot shaft (1) Cotter pin (3) a. Using long roundnose pliers, and handle straighten ends and take out. mount (2) b. Get rid of. 18. Handle mount (2) Pivot shaft (1) Using 1-pound head ball-peen hammer and mounting and 1/4-inch straight drive-pin punch, frame (4) tap out. 19. Mounting frame (4) Handle mount (2) Take out. with assembled parts 20. Handle mount (2) Spring pin (6) a. Place handle mount (2) in machinist’s and connector  vise. link (5) b. Using 1-pound head ball-peen hammer and 1/4-inch straight drive-pin punch, tap out. 21. Handle mount (2) Connector link (5) a. Take off. b. Take handle mount (2) out of machinist’s vise. c. Repeat steps 17 thru 21 for right stabilizer control lever linkage. CLEANING NOTE For    more    information    on    how    to    clean    parts,    go    to    General    Maintenance Instructions (page 2-137). WARNING Drycleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable.  Wear protective goggles and gloves and  use  only  in  a  well  ventilated  area.    Avoid  contact  with  skin,  eyes,  and clothes and don’t breathe vapors.  Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. The  flashpoint  is  100°F  to  138°F  (38°  to  59°C).    If  you  become  dizzy  while  using cleaning  solvent,  get  fresh  air  immediately  and  get  medical  aid.    If  contact  with eyes is made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid immediately. 22. All metal parts a. Clean in drycleaning solvent. b. Using clean, dry rags, wipe dry. 2-1318
