Replace defective parts which cannot be repaired. 29. All rubber parts Look for cracks, breaks, and tears. 30. All metal parts Look for cracks, breaks, and abnormal bends. 31. All threaded parts Look for damaged threads. REPAIR 32. All threaded parts If threads are damaged, using screw except hardware threading set, restore threads. ASSEMBLY NOTE Linkage   for   both   stabilizer   control   levers   is   assembled   the   same   way.      Left stabilizer control lever linkage is shown.  Repeat steps 33 thru 37 for right stabilizer control lever linkage. 33. Handle mount (1) Connector link (2) a. Place handle mount (1) in machinist’s vise. b. Coat with grease. c. Place in position. 34. Handle mount (1) Spring pin (3) a. Using 1-pound head ball-peen hammer and connector and 1/4-inch straight drive-pin punch, link (2) tap in. b. Take handle mount (1) out of machinist’s vise. 35. Mounting frame (4) Handle mount (1) a. Coat with grease. with assembled parts b. Place in position. 36. Mounting frame (4) Pivot shaft (5) a. Aline holes in handle mount (1) and and handle mount (1) pivot shaft (5). b. Push into position. 2-1308
