Make sure that loader bucket and backhoe bucket are lowered to ground, or wheels are blocked, to keep
loader backhoe from rolling before performing maintenance on parking brake.
REMOVAL
1.
Loader backhoe
Parking brake
Release (TM 5-2420-222-10).
2.
Brake rod (1) and
Cotter pin (3)
a.
Using slip-joint pliers, straighten ends
pin (2)
ends and take out.
b.
Get rid of.

Pull out.

Using 1/4-inch straight drive-pin punch
