Starting Motor Inoperative - Continued.
e. Place battery disconnect
switch to ON position.
f. Momentarily turn start
1. If voltage is indicated, go to
switch fully clockwise
Table 6, Malfunction 5, Test
and observe meter.

2. If voltage is not indicated,
replace relay (WP 0078 00).

Test for continuity between
starter relay ground wire
and chassis ground.
a. Place battery disconnect
switch in OFF position.
b. Connect meter positive
lead to ground wire for
relay (harness side).
c. Connect meter negative
1. If continuity is indicated, go
lead to chassis ground and
to Table 6, Malfunction 5,
observe reading.
Test 10.
2. If continuity is not indicated,
repair the ground (WP 0242
