Engine Fails to Crank.

See  Electrical  Trouble-

Check engine for seizure:
a. With
fuel
injection
nozzles removed, Try to
turn crankshaft manually
Replace engine assembly (WP
b. If crankshaft will not
rotate, engine has internal
damage.
If liquid is coolant, replace
c. If crankshaft turns and
cylinder head (WP 0025 00).
liquid is discharged from
nozzle holes, check if
liquid is coolant or fuel.
If liquid is fuel, test fuel
injection nozzles. Replace
defective nozzle(s)

Engine Cranks But Fails to Start.

Verify with operator that
If incorrect fuel was used:
correct fuel was used.
a. Drain fuel system.
b. Replace fuel filters (WP
c. Fill fuel tank with correct
fuel (TM 5-2410-237-10).
d. Prime fuel system (WP

Check fuel for water or
1. Drain fuel tank (WP 0052 00)
a. Open  draincock  (WP
completely
0052 00) and drain into
clean glass container. If
container is 1/4 full of
water, or if dirt is evident,
fuel is contaminated.
