FUNCTION

Engine Oil Sampling Valve

Used by Unit Maintenance to obtain engine oil sample.

Engine Oil Level Dipstick

Indicates level of oil in engine crankcase:

(a) With engine shut down and cold (COLD CHECK), level

should be within cross-hatched area on side of dipstick

labeled SAFE STARTING RANGE WITH ENGINE

STOPPED AND OIL COLD.

(b) With engine at low idle and warm (HOT CHECK), level

should be at FULL mark on side of dipstick labeled ENGINE

RUNNING AT LOW IDLE WITH OIL WARM.
